Was a good app several years ago. not so much now! I click on food and drink, and I get one bar and one tour company in a city that has probably a hundred or more. I go to tours and attractions, and click on traveler review, which it clearly says should be the number of stars, and are they in that order? No! Not at all! UNINSTALLING.... Actually not sure why I'm even giving it two stars.

I've used TripAdvisor forever to plan trips, find the best restaurants, etc. It's been my go-to source for every trip I've taken or just to discover new things to do or restaurants around me. I'm uninstalling it as of today. It is no longer user friendly at all. You have to put in a location from the start and sometimes I just know the name but not the exact location. It was a good run and I loved having the "my trips" saved as a timeline for me to remember my trips so I'll really miss it.

Not feeling the new app. When you use to search for things to do, they would actually give you a list of things to do, very helpful! Now you get some weird "social media" page of pictures and videos people posted about that location. NOT HELPFUL! It's like they're trying to keep up with social media platforms like Instagram. If I want a social media page, I'd go to my IG account! Stick to your purpose! Helping people find helpful info on travel destinations.

The listings are extremely out of date. I have made more than one trip recently. Only to find restaurants and things to do, are around 50% closed permanently. Other establishments are closed for the season. I wish TripAdvisor would update the locations provided on their app. I also noticed several businesses are not represented through the app. So it's hard finding places to eat, shop, stay, or visit.

Initially, I loved this company and this app. However, I've been using it for almost 4 years and this time, they showed how compassionate they truly are. It's all about the money. I booked fifteen excursions on TripAdvisor for our BUCKET LIST trip to the U.K. Our flights were delayed three times causing us to be a day behind schedule. Therefore, I needed to cancel three of the excursions. NO REFUNDS. We are out over $700 plus memories that will never be made. Thanks TripAdvisor.

Trip advisor used to be better. Now, having sold out to advertisers and changing the structure of their listings to accomodate that, it has become noticeably less useful. One example, you can no longer simply see an entire list starting at #1 of the best things to do in any given location. They break it up into multiple lists and don't give the user a way to simply view all the things to do, by order of ranking. I used to swear by Trip Advisor. Unfortunately, now not so much.
