Praise for Lifeline:
“I’ve played many games that I find engrossing, but Lifeline may be one of the first that changed the way I thought about my daily routine, which leapt off the screen and became a part of my lived experience.” - Eli Cymet, Gamezebo
“For a few brief hours I cared – really cared – about the fate of a completely fictional character. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer

The first one was amazing, but this one is much less so. With the first one i feel emotionally attached to Taylor and would think about them through the day while waiting for them to wake up, walk, etc. But with this sequel everything feels rushed, the conversation options aren't as immersive/real, and the story is just lacking.

This one is lacking compared to the prequel. It's shorter and, even though there are more people, the interaction is close to nothing. A lot of events that didn't happen in my previous choices somehow was mentioned as a fact near the end. After checking the wiki, an event that should've happened near the end happened early in mine. The structure is basically a mess. The music was also worse and more repetitive. Taylor as a character is still interesting, though. That's the only saving grace.

Good, but not like the first Lifeline game. The first felt like it had many more options, and was much lengthier. I feel like I paid nearly 3 quid for something a quarter the length with less choice. Most of the choices in this game are either being rude or being nice to Taylor, with only 2 or 3 options to grab things, unlike the first one where you can push him to troop on, to make camp here or there, find food etc. I did enjoy catching up with Taylor again though.

The problem I have with this game has nothing to do with its writing, which is still great. Structurally, a CYOA works much better if you don't have to backtrack so far that the story's momentum is thrown off. This has way more failstates than the first game, and the checkpoints and Fast Mode aren't fast enough to get you back where you want to be in the story. You end up rereading certain text too many times, without clear enough clues as to what you missed early or what you need to change.

This is one of the more heartbreaking games in the series, perhaps topped only by the most recent installment. Taylor is a genuinely dynamic character that I can never wait to reconnect with when I get a new phone. These games make you truly consider how your decisions affect others and make you WANT Taylor to live. No matter how many times I play, I can never make myself make the wrong choices because it feels so real. Download these games. You will NOT regret it.

Not as good as the first. Pacing is very fast and there is no suspense because it's just go go go. Less accessible to blind players as the first because it's not easy to tell who is speaking unless you can see the text colour. I wouldn't really bother playing this unless you're really invested.
