About this app
Lifeline is a playable, branching story of survival against all odds. You will help Taylor make life or death decisions, and face the consequences together.
Acclaimed writer Dave Justus (Fables: The Wolf Among Us) weaves a gripping interactive story through the aftermath of a crash landing on an alien moon. Taylor is stranded, the rest of the crew are dead or missing, and Taylor’s communicator can only reach you.
Lifeline pioneered a new narrative experience enabled by modern devices. This story plays out in real time as Taylor works to stay alive, notifications deliver new messages throughout your day. Keep up as they come in, or catch up later when you’re free.
Or, dive in and jump back to earlier points in the story, and see what happens when you make a different choice. Simple actions can have a profound effect. Complete any single path to restart the story and unlock this mode.
Lifeline is a deep, immersive story of survival and perseverance, with many possible outcomes. Taylor is relying on YOU.

Praise for Lifeline:
“I’ve played many games that I find engrossing, but Lifeline may be one of the first that changed the way I thought about my daily routine, which leapt off the screen and became a part of my lived experience.” - Eli Cymet, Gamezebo
“I felt an immediate attachment to a fictional character pinging me from a strange galaxy to my wearable.” - Luke Hopewell, Gizmodo Australia
“For a few brief hours I cared – really cared – about the fate of a completely fictional character. I don’t think any other game I’ve played has made me feel that way before.” - Matt Thrower, PocketGamer

One of the greatest, most gut-wrenching experiences I've ever had! What a stellar game. Great writing, great fun - the story is enthralling and the determination to save Taylor is innate. A truly immersive experience, I highly recommend it for anyone who loves sci-fi, horror, and/or thriller and suspense. I was always anxiously and eagerly awaiting another message from my stranded space cadet.

This game/story line game, was awesome! It's crazy the way you're like messaging this person stranded in space, and you're trying to help her get outa there. I warn you that you should not turn on the speed up. It feels a lot more realistic if you do it the normal way. Also, it will be a little boring at first, but somewhere towards the middle or so, it starts getting pretty intense. So, definitely 5 stars. Would give 10 if I could!

Cool concept. I was finding myself pretty engrossed in the story. Then the character died and I had to start over, which is fine, but then I noticed there is a fast mode you can use to speed through the story without waiting, which is nice for catching up to where you were, but now I'm tempted to use it and waiting feels like a self imposed restriction. In my opinion you should lose the option for fast mode after you have caught up to where you were.

It was different. It's like a CYOA but you're not in the lead of the story you're just kind of giving suggestions to an NPC. I don't recommend this for anyone with short attention spans because it's a text/dialogue heavy game. I'm looking at everyone who gave this game 1 star. 🙄 It's a short story. Frankly I don't understand the criticism against it being a short game when you're paying so cheaply for this. People have spent 60+ USD on console games just to complain for an hour on YouTube.

Absolutely in love with this game. Loved it the first time I played it, loved it even more when I revisisted it some years later for the nostalgia. Taylor is super likeable and the story is really engaging. Had me worried sick about them constantly lol. Also Taylor's dialogue is exceptionally good at painting a vivid picture of what's happening. I almost never felt lost about the setting or situation. The final main event will always be in my brain, can't forget something that epic and intense.

Interesting concept, but I wasn't able to get into this game as much as others have. During the initial playthrough I found myself a little impatient when the main character was off doing things like sleeping and not communicating with me. The thought of uninstalling it definitely crossed my mind during these prolonged downtime events. Also, I was very bothered by the unrealistic timing of the dialog. For example, there are times where the main character is in a panic and only has seconds to make a decision, yet he goes off on tangents and cracks jokes or tells side stories for the next minute or so. Lastly, I just wasn't able to really feel for the main character. I read many reviews before playing saying I should expect to really form a bond with the character. I honestly felt nothing the entire time. Game could be a little longer too.
