Getting started

Simply download the app using data (charges apply for the initial download), but once you’re set-up, there are no data charges when using the app. As long as you have a connection, your banking is ready to go!

Transactional features are available to Standard Bank accounts held in South Africa, Ghana, Uganda, Botswana, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Tanzania, Lesotho, Malawi, eSwatini and Namibia. Keep in mind that some types of payments include transaction fees.

App will not load accounts, cannot transfer money, cannot pay anyone, has been stuck for over a month, this is the last straw after 7 years banking with Standard bank, as soon as I can transfer my money out I'm done for good, what a absolute shambles of a "bank". Oh and don't bother trying to call either, helpline ask you to restart phone, uninstall/reinstall or try again later.

Frustration is an understatement, I recently moved banks and have been trying for the past 2 days to log in, but I'm unable to. The app doesn't have the scan qr code option on the mainscreen to easily connect to internet banking. It only shows the forex icon and nothing else. Whenever I try to add my account, it tells me that it's unable to but my card is active. Please help!!!

This app is broken. I have the most recent version and it refuses to sign me in. It does not even have the Scan QR sign in link that the pictures show it has. Yes, I have the most recent version; it's the only one available. Yes, I'm trying to sign in on the app and not the website. Attempting to sign in with my password sends me on a loop of "Sign in failed. Device is already registered."

The banking app now has ads, disguised as "special offers", taking up a lot of useful space on the app. I'm sure the app fee is included in my monthly account fee paid to standard bank. You dont need ads in a paid for app. Adding to this - if you can just choose a normal bank that won't force adds on you in their app. 30% of the app space is an add about "offers". if I could give this app a negative 5 star rating I would.

I have setup internet banking and got my card from the Standard bank branch I requested it. My card is active and ready to use. I am not able to link account to the card on app, so that I can see my account balance. Tried to link account but it says that the card is already linked to account. What is the point of a banking app if you cannot link an account and manage transactions? I have to go on their website to see my account balance and make payments, so frustrating. Please fix this issue.

It's a useful app and saves me alot of time but its also always experiencing issues. I cannot tell you the amount of times I have needed to do something and that functionality isnt working. The main offenders are buying electricity and making instant payments. You guys need to stop making updates on the live app and test things properly on staging.
