This is a wonderful app, and certainly worth a download. My only suggestion: on the puzzles, if you click on the piece that is not related to the solution of the puzzle, the screen updates with text saying 'Wrong Move,' even before you move that piece. That makes it easy to find the piece that will do the right move, as it is the only piece that won't prompt the 'Wrong Move' text. Also, on the progress page, it says there are 26 easy exercises for discovered check, but there are actually only 25

The quality of tactics available to solve are as good as it gets. What I feel is lacking, is the ability to study the position of a puzzle after solving it; however, after using stockfish on each of the first 67 puzzles, I've found the solution isn't the best move in 5 of the puzzles. I do want to mention all 5 examples seem to be ignoring obvious computer lines. Which honestly is wonderful; however, I would suggest adding in a bonus find for them. It would be a wonderfully unique addition.

Good for basic learning, but there's issues. For example, with "mate in X moves" part, there are occasionally multiple solutions, but only one will be accepted. Other valid solutions will be marked as errors. In addition, it doesn't really offer advice on strategy or how to analyse the game. Instead it simply has you move pieces around without explaining anything. Not a good way to really learn the game.

Fun, and plenty of challenges; some are repetitive. Mostly 4 instead of 5 because it's lacking some things: when I select a piece and then instead try to select a different piece, it counts it as a mistake; have to deselect piece before selecting another. Also, when watching championship games, there is pause but no rewind. Makes it hard to analyze for a amateur like me.

This has a lot of good puzzles, organized by category, which you can play through to boost your tactical prowess. There are occasionally issues with piece selection. Also some of the puzzles, such as the first hard mate in 4+, seem to have multiple solutions. Figuring out the expected one can be annoying. Good overall though.

Runs great. Lots of puzzle, same as any large chess book; however, it fits in my pocket, plays music, and doubles as a phone. Only thing that irritates me is, on occasion, my move is not what I intended, (fat fingers?) and may even be illegel, but still counts as a wrong move. Petty, I know. Over all great app, may get the pro version.
