Build your villages and expand your empire! Ally yourself with other players to form mighty tribes! Protect your people against your enemies! And turn the tides of war!
Tribal Wars 2, the free online strategy game, is the successor to InnoGames’ online hit Tribal Wars. You become the ruler of a city in a war torn medieval universe and you have to defend your followers and your village and expand your empire to ensure its survival. To succeed you have to rely on your strength and your strategic skills.
But you won’t be able to do all of this on your own. Rally other players to your cause, build a tribe and form alliances with other tribes. Your political decisions could mean the difference between triumph and defeat in the world of Tribal Wars 2.
Tribal Wars 2 is available in the browser and on your mobile device. You are able to use the same account across all your different devices. You used your browser to send one of your armies to attack an enemy’s village? Check the results of the attack on your smartphone and prepare your cities for the counter-attack using your tablet! All features of the game are available on all different devices.

9/5/22 Game is great. App is trash. Have to open and close it 3 times to get it to load. Anytime you recall support or have more than 10 incomings it's always "loading" and loses connection until you restart it. Even switching between villages to fast confuses it and you have to restart the app. 5/31/25 no change, still terrible connection problems. 4G, 5G, or WiFi, doesn't matter. Still have to open and close the app to do a few things at a time before it starts lagging and can't connect.

App continues to crash constantly, can't maintain a log in even connected to wifi. Makes the game unplayable unless your at home in front of your PC. Which is crazy cause it's just a browser game... App seems good so far for the game. Although some of my friends can't seem to download it. Not sure if it needs to be updated for their system or not.

App stops working and refuses to connect, or if it does, it's for a few minutes before it disconnects again. The game is made in such a way that you either pay to win or you play nonstop to try and keep up. The problem was that I did that. I played a lot, obsessively to keep up with players dropping hundreds of dollars to skip weeks of progress. Then I got banned for it. So, as a free to play player, you will never keep up because they will ban you for trying. They refuse to reevaluate my ban.

Mixed emotions for this game. Customer service is fast but not helpful. The app crashes glitches and loads alot. I needed some help with the glitches that were happening with attacks of player villages and the representative was like, " This is a game mechanism and not a bug or something else. Unfortunately beginner protection cannot be recovered once it's lifted (for any reason)." All the best, Viele Grüße. I am disappointed of how they act to players that actually enjoy playing this game.

This review is for the game itself, not the app. This game popularized the term "free to play, pay to win." It is almost unplayable, unless you are online 24/7 and spend hundreds of dollars per month. And pay you must. You can pay to get just about anything in this game, like that Rocko's Modern Life episode with the ski resort. The devs only care about paying players, even if they cheat or use bots. I know they'll going to respond, saying the game is playable for free, but that's not true.

Really fun game. However, on PC, because on the app it is borderline unplayable. P2W. Recall troops that are out on support? Game will just load constantly until you close it for at least 5 minutes, then reopen it. Have more than 15 villages? You're gonna get really bad load times, or the game will crash on you. All they tell you is to delete old reports, but it doesn't help. All of these have been known about for 3+ years with no fix in sight, which is problematic in an RTS. Greedy, lazy devs.
