It's hard to comment on the app itself when the previous version is broken and unusable. My app (at version 1.0.28) shows the message "Your client is out of date. It will be automatically updated shortly." After 4 days my patience is pretty well spent. I realize there are workarounds for downloading apps, but call them what they are, lame excuses. The fact is, one of the more critical applications for an Android device was rendered unusable by an unknown change and there is nothing a user can do. Android is a great platform, the Galaxy tab is great device, this app however has nothing on the Apple market apps.

I got the 10.1 for free, and i would have paid for it if i didnt. Its better than the ipad 2, i dont know why so many people are so upset about the tab itself. Its, thiner, lighter, brighter, has a widerscreen thats better for movies, also alowws me to fit it into my coat pocket, just barely, and more customizable than the ipad. Also has a better name, and with ics, a better os that doesnt tie you down. I guess its always the same with android. You need to be smart enough to understand it. Apple is for old people who dont understand tech. Android is for the tech people. As for the market app itself. Meh. Could use improvement, but i dont spend much time browsing for aps so it doesnt bother me.

hate that this app replaced the android market app (original), right now for this rant it is because everytime i try to open the new icon "google play' it is set for German language, just becase i am in germany DOESNT mean i speak german! I want to know if there is a choice as to how i can lock into the USA site. I really do hate that google has thier hands in the take over of android market I really liked it, and now there are second rate freebies, and not to forget the fact that the app sends me to some German site which really doesn't help me enjoy any apps cuz I don't know wth they ARE!!! ;{ and it sucks, just saying...oh yea, I have a Toshiba thrive tab, and love it.

It was very disappointing when I tried to use the market app and given "Your client is out of date and will be automatically updated shortly". Normally I perceive shortly as in matters of secs or minutes but to my surprise, the "shortly" that was promised and even after several tries including a direct download in .apk form also failed to deliver. Its like having a car and keys but no matter how you crank or change battery, the engine is stone cold. Would have give a negative "*" if I could have done so.
