Does not sync notes/highlights or reading progress with the web reader for purchased content, and doesn't offer an option to export highlights at all. I'd rather see a color mode that supports system settings (dark mode menus & reading experience) - you can customize the background and foreground colors, but selected text and highlights can get pretty weird when you do it.

It's an exasperating app. When I select type it automatically sticks and won't let go. My only option is to highlight it which makes it less readable. I can't seem to copy selected lines. I can't find a way to unhighlight lines that I have previously selected and been forced to highlight. I can't make the type flush left which would help readability when I have type zoomed in so that there only a few words to a line. I can't employ text to voice in this app.

Trying to figure out why my phone was so hot, I realized I had an app set to never sleep regardless of how long it's dormant - this one. The only permission it requests is to send you notifications, but if you look closer, there's a laundry list of terrible things it's allowed to do in the background like download things without your knowledge, etc. I force stopped and a few minutes later deleted it. My phone was instantly cooler. User beware!

Awful app. 1) I had a hard time downloading the book because the app and website don't seem to talk to each other (on the same device) unlike most other apps over used. When I opened the library, there were 9 books I hadn't ordered but not the one I had. 2) the reader is really janky, the cover art doesn't display, the page turner works randomly, and it's generally difficult to use. 3) The drm-free book is still tied to the app. I won't be using it again.

Mediocrity at it's finest. There is a great deal of room for improvement on this app. Options in general would be really nice. Or failing that, perhaps at the least obeying the dark mode setting from Android. I like the website and the ability to get DRM free eBooks, but the restricted eBooks are not an option with an app that is this ambivalent to the user. If you can't offer a decent app, then could you work with a decent app like MoonReader+? That is a nice eBook reader app.

If you have dyslexia, trouble reading small font, are sensitive to light, or literally anything that cam make it hard to read go with anything else. Not that ebooks will let you if you bought from the ebooks website. Which I can only assume is why they are able to get away with putting out such a half baked app. They don't give you any options at all. You can't change the font size, you're stuck with Times New Roman (notoriously hard to read for dyslexics), there's not even a dark mode. Awful
