I still use Feedly Classic for everything but search as the browsing experience is much worse in the new version. Marking articles to read later, and clearing read articles takes many more steps. It's so geared to making recommendationdations about AI and cybertech that it gets un the way of my more general reading.

Decided to give it another try. Getting rid of ads is a great reason to use RSS, but nope... Feedly puts em right back in. I was like no prob, I can buy a pro version. But nope. It's a subscription. 8 bucks a month😒 You can't even save a feed with creating an account. One assumes that's so they can track and harvest. I find myself very frustrated by being unable go find an app that just brings you the RSS without a bunch of nonsense added on. It's supposed to be simple. Really simple.

Frustrating To Navigate. Hitting the back button doesn't actually take you back or close out a sub-menu. You have to do other things to do that or to get those "helpful" popups to go away. Ugh. Don't try to reinvent the navigation wheel, we use our phones a certain way, make your app fit that. But I'm just going to move on to a different agreggator.

It was neat until some of the most basic features that are appealing have to be bought via a monthly subscription. I would be more likely to "contribute to the Feedly Project" at a much lower rate. This app aggregates articles...period. I can't justify paying the same subscription amount as Netflix, a platform that aggregates and creates multi-million dollar media...

It's fine. It was better before they added ads right in the feed. I'd tolerate those as a cost of a free app, but today Feedly deleted a bunch of older unread items without asking me. They just vanished. Losing something valuable like that is not acceptable to me, so I'm on the hunt to find another app. Also, they logged me out recently and it won't let me log back in. So I lost all my saved feeds!

I've been using this app for years and it keeps going downhill. I used to be able to save stories to my Pocket account, but that feature got moved behind a pay wall. Then ads started showing up in my feed as if they are actual blog articles. Now, the app has stopped opening the links to the articles themselves. I've gone through all the app settings and have had no luck. All I get to see in the app now is the first few lines and that's it. I now have to leave Feedly to read articles.
