About this app
The DPD app lets you arrange the best possible delivery experience. Just tell us how and where to deliver from the range of options available and we’ll do the rest.
Personal delivery preferences - if you’re not going to be in, you can use the DPD app to make sure you can still receive your parcels. Tell us to deliver straight to your chosen DPD Pickup location or, to your chosen neighbour or safe place. You select your preferences and we’ll make sure we follow your instructions every time!
30-minute delivery alerts - we don’t want you to wait in all day so with all your DPD deliveries, we’ll let you know in advance when to expect delivery and when we are just 30 minutes away.
Active and previous deliveries - using your DPD app you can see a list of current deliveries and track when your parcels will be with you. When we’ve delivered to your chosen safe place we’ll even send you photos of your parcel in that location for added peace of mind you.
Multiple addresses - set your work, home, or even family member’s address preference, so you can tailor your delivery experience and still get your deliveries, wherever you are in the UK.
Driver tracking - see the name and a picture of your driver or why not track their location and find out where you are in the delivery queue. See your driver's estimated arrival time so you know when to expect your parcel.
In flight options - when we’re on our way to you, if your plans change you can still rearrange your delivery right up until we deliver your parcel. You can instruct our driver to deliver on a different day, to a preferred neighbour, to a safe place or even to one of our 2,500 DPD Pickup shops.
Pickup shops - if you’re collecting your parcel from a nearby DPD Pickup shop, get opening hours, your pickup pass for collection and directions from your delivery address.

The chat bot for this is absolutely useless, tried going in and leaving a note on my delivery as plans changed and no one would be in to collect the order, so I went in to change the delivery options to leave with a neighbour and constantly got the "Oops, something went wrong!" screen, the chat bot ended up throwing me around in a constant cycle of asking the same question and not helping, in the end I just ended the chat because it was going nowhere.

After entering my postcode a message is displayed stating 'Unfortunately we don't currently offer preferences in the selected area' and the next button is greyed out. So I can't even get into the app to track a delivery never mind get notifications. Seems a bit pointless. As far as the delivery service goes also poor. It was a large parcel so I picked a delivery day a few days later than the default to give plenty of time and took a day off work to be there when it arrived, it didn't arrive.

Chats disappear; previous non-delivery tracking records disappear. No record of DPD cock-ups, only successful deliveries. Makes them seem efficient, but it's false. Their systems are the worst. Can't add instructions. Can't add photo from gallery, says something unintelligible about permissions that you can't change to suit. Totally non-serviceable app. The drivers take no notice of the info anyway. The sender is control, so as a recipient you can't change the options offered anyway. Pointless

The app is ok, except i can't delete old notifications, and even though I requested they ring doorbell, they never do, just chuck it behind the bin and run off... I have been having some issues with the drivers not following my instructions, which has made it difficult for me to get to my parcel. I requested to wait for me to answer the door but they keep putting it behind the bin and I can't bend down to pick it up. I don't have anyone to help me . How can I rate driver? Edit from 4 ⭐️ to 1

You are sold this app by being told that people who call from the app jump straight to the front of the queue etc etc and get priority however once you've gone through the app there is absolutely no way of contacting them via the app including chat if there is a problem with your delivery ie it's disappeared or return to sender, only if you have a current non problematic delivery can you contact them.

The idea of marking your location exactly with the what3words location is great, such a shame that the drivers don't use it though! So what is the point of including it? I've just been waiting 4 days for a delivery and finished off basically chasing the driver, because he couldn't find us, pretty obvious they don't use what3words to locate where they are delivering to! Not happy!
