The app is very inclusive of everything and has worked without a hitch. It's great if you don't like lugging around paper for passes. Issue is things like the lightening pass and ticket passes are entirely dependent on the longevity of your battery. if your phone dies, good luck getting in or getting your money back. Not a fan. They do sell charge packs in the parks for near $40 and it includes unlimited refills. Let's be realistic though, who wants to spend more money than they must?

It would be better if you could load all your tickets into the app. I had both day tickets and tickets to the oogie boogie bash but can't load both at the same time. The magic band addition was sketchy also. Only worked half the time and they don't do anything in the park really, unlike Disney World in which the magic band is a really nice feature and used for many things.

Most things are OK, but slow. However, the experience to make a park reservation - the first thing you need to do - is terrible. The tiles under the hamburger menu don't do anything, just sit there. Trying to use a magic key pops up a ton of teeny tiny text with a link to "park reservation" that does nothing when you click. It's possible on the website, unless you use Firefox, which just loops you in a login loop. But that means you need to manually type in the ticket number..

The Disneyland app is really useful for checking wait times, and mobile ordering, but it’s been freezing a lot lately and won’t let me select anything at times. Navigation can feel clunky, and it drains my battery quickly. It’s still a must-have in the parks, but it definitely needs updates to run more smoothly.

Worst disney experience ever. Cast Members don't even know the app, I went to add another person to a lightning lane reservation and it "changed" the time for everyone in that reservation, went to go check in and it was only 1 person for that time and everyone else was still scheduled at the original time. The cast members said that it was not possible to add additional guest to a reservation and that that option never showed up, but it was there when I added the other guest in my party.

Nowadays you MUST use the Disneyland app to have a good experience at the park. You can decide whether that's a positive or negative attribute. Even if you do not use Lightning Lane, it is helpful to see temporaru ride closures and stand-by wait times. This helps a lot so that you don't walk all the way over to find out the same information. It also helps with showtimes of parades, character meet and greets, ordering food ahead of time, and much more.
