It's a genuinely fun and simple game... when it works that is. The character archetype system is fun and unique, though a bit limiting. And when you start off (at least on pc, not sure about mobile) you get tons of free card packs to make fun and viable PvE decks. Though in PvP, I'm not sure if matchmaking is bad or what, but you don't seem to have a chance without dropping some cash. But all of this only matters if the game actually works for you, which it hasn't for me in weeks on pc and never did on mobile. TLDR: Its good, simple, fun, and you get lots of free stuff, but you'll need to pay to be good in pvp, and the game doesn't consistently work, especially not on mobile.

Felt the need to update my review as with time the game has changed. On the plus side: They give you everything you need for a good deck at the start, there's no "pressure" to pay in this game. Story's great very detailed. On the less positive side: Gameplay has changed very drastically, and is very near-broken with some cards and combos. I feel the art's much more cutesy anime than the older art style. Everything from furries to Pokemon-like beings. If that's your thing, cool, but it's not mine

This is the first one of these where I feel I can actually have fun without spending huge amounts of cash. The mechanics take advantage of the digital format. They are fairly generous with the card packs and bonuses. And there is almost constantly some event that adds variety. There are score rewards, missions, and single player stories to help. The liquify mechanic helps you feel like duplicate cards aren't wasted. It's like they actually want people to play the game! I Love it.

I got into this game the day Dragalia Lost ended service, so I've been playing every day for a year. While it's no replacement, this is still a solid game. I'm not really into CCGs, but this is pretty good; there aren't many keywords to remember, the rules for the different factions are simple enough to follow, it's VERY F2P friendly, the artwork is appealing, and the story and characters are engaging. Also, I haven't seen any ads in the time I've been playing, which is always appreciated!

Best digital card game available period. Extremely free-to-play (F2P) friendly compared to the competition. Meta changes every couple months, and with multiple Formats to suit your tastes. I've been playing since game launch and even if I don't play every single day, I still log in daily. When I'm ready to come back, there's a pile of rupies waiting for me.

Great game, can play at a mid-high without spending any money. Packs are expensive but generously given for free as well. the one pack half off daily deal makes buying large packs of gems seem like a waste, as you can get twice as many cards with patience and a handful of gems. very high level play will require money to be spent, because some of the rarest cards are deck staples at that level. but I also do not feel like the game is pay to win
