As phone GPS for golf is getting pretty good, those with NFC tags have a leg up. that said, this app struggles in one major way. when using tags, you can't leave your phone in your pocket or you'll get accidental touches which ruin your tracking and you have to stop every hole to correct it. this primarily happens in hot days. it doesn't matter if you have the setting on your phone to avoid accidental touches. I've had to completely stop using the tags because I can't avoid this issue.

This app used to be THE best golf app available. The most recent updates have destroyed this app. My golf club tags have been intermittent and improperly recording the club. The phone lock works for a couple of holes, then I find that it's changed to some other settings page that then becomes a huge distraction to my game. I used to be able to tap and go and simply look at my statistics at the end of the round, but not any more. I believe they can't keep up with phone software updates.

its a good app, & gives you critical information (for free) & I do love it, would use it every round! I think this app easily beats the others I have tried. = 5 stars -star=SHOT TRACKING is a bit confusing & NOT intuitive; its a nice free feature if it wasn't clunky. there are multiple steps for active tracking, & is difficult to utilize during a round, but the feature is awesome & well thought out. -star= Premium Pricing.Id be happy to pay $30 once, or even 5-10/yr, but its just too much.

I like the fact it doesn't need a data connection on course. I start it with a wifi connection, update the map and go. I like it enough to upgrade after 14 day trial. I expect to keep it. Lots of good info on club distance and green contours. The more I use it, the more comfortable I get with the app functions. Club recommendations are very good. I like that I'm able to edit out bad hits so that I get a more accurate number for each clubs distance.

After Trying Many Apps, I think this is just the one to go. When playing groups, with my buddies/fam, we do tournament play, and it shows us on a leaderboard, like live TV! its freaken awesome for free. I ended paying the 29.99 a year, since I like keeping track of my club distances, and also to use the watch feature. I want it, to be able to allow downloadable course, where Cell Service is terrible. But GPS still works. I tried SwingU, just expensive at 100 and too many Ads for free. Not ez.

after 5 years, I'm done with this app. I've paid for premium the whole time and the strokes gained calculations are worthless because of how they coded the app. I've been begging them to fix it for 3 years, but I always hear "it's on our radar, but we're working on more important upgrades." Not sure what's more important than core functionality, but whatever. I'll just have to eat the extra cost of paying for 18 birdies if I want an app that works I guess.
