I used to have a black thumb. I couldn't keep any plants alive except for golden pothos. Now I am running out of sunny spots for my plants and they are thriving. My only issue with the app is it crashes easily and sometimes won't show me my plant tasks despite getting a notification that I have some. I have to completely close down the app and reopen it for my plant tasks to show up.

At $20/year the app is fine. It provides a good reminder for watering and fertilizing and it is OK at plant identification. But the reality is that the schedules are hard to adjust and tend to lead to watering too frequently and with too little water. When the plant has trouble, the answer is ALWAYS "over watering" and it has never been the problem, yet. Now they want $70/year. That is comical. Hard pass. I will just have Alexa set some reminders and Google it when I have problems.

Update: Despite tech team assist the app continues to crash after uninstall & reinstall. Will not back up & begins crashing again. Been faithfully a user for over a year now & sadly it has began repeatedly crashing several times a morning. It's very frustrating, so considering a different app or going old school. Otherwise, I truly enjoy the platform. The ability to put in a room or, in my case, group by variety helps me keep clearer records. Really 🤞the crashing gets resolved soon.

This app, when it works, is great. However, even after the most recent update, it freezes or gets really slow to respond, closes on its own, and I often have to exit and restart the app several times before I'm done watering. I could live with that for $25 a year, but tripling the price to $75? I'm done. I'll just set reminders on my Google calendar. The plant ID is only ok and anytime I've tried to diagnose a plant, I'm told I'm over watering. Which I only do when the app tells me to.

I've been using Blossom for a few years, and I have to say, the features are amazing. If only the app was functional. It crashes every time I open it, try to edit my plants, try to update watering schedules or new pots or moving plants to new rooms... anything. Canceled my subscription and using my calendar for reminders and Google Lens for plant IDs. Oh, well. It was nice while it lasted.

I love the accuracy of this app; however, it is too geared toward house or container plant maintenance. I wish there was a feature for just cataloging the plants/trees on my large property and gardens. Being forced to step through the care options to add them to my list is tedious and annoying. Plants should also have more photographs. When submitting a photo for review, there should be an option to just submit when there's a false or no match without contacting a botanist.
