Oct 2025: the app or company lost access to local/personal weather stations, such as Tempest. So now the closest station to me is many miles away. And due to me living near the ocean, the coastal temps are sometimes 10-deg different than what the app now shows. disappointed in this change. ----- Been super happy ever since WeatherBug opted to continue supporting the paid version back in 2017. The updates to it may leg the ad version a little bit, but nothing that has ever mattered.

2nd Update: The localization in the observations is outstanding. However, the widgets are now failing. After putting the wide widget on the home screen and setting it up, all it displays is "Thanks for downloading WeatherBug. Please complete the onboarding by clicking on the settings icon." I do that and save the settings, but nothing changes. I used to love WeatherBug, but now it no longer puts the temperature in the status bar and the widget doesn't work. Android 15 on a OnePlus 13.

It's a great app. Been using it for years. Recently, the app became a bit confusing with regards to the paid versions. I'm paying for WeatherBug apparently, but not WeatherBug Elite anymore? Also - concerned about information sharing, especially with regards to location data. To have the alerts really be meaningful, you need to have location data on all the time - but with their sharing policy, I'm less inclined to do so.

Accuracy between graphical and text forecasts has been bad for years. I've sent them requests to fix it, but their response is that they use two different sources to obtain their forecasts. One source for graphical and another for text forecasts, and they often don't match. For instance, the graphical icon may show a high of 88 degrees, and then the text version says highs in the mid 90's.

Used to be much better, (aside from the fact it resets your card order every time it updates), but now it has this terrible "Current Events" card that pops up near the top at random intervals with random information that doesn't apply! And you can't hide/dismiss it or sort it down to the bottom! Which means when it's showing I have to scroll down to find the information I'm looking for instead of it being right there.

I've used Weather Bug and WB Elite for years but I decided after a constant issue of getting the temperatures wrong, I've deleted it. The overview showing the high/low will give one thing but then the actual forecast written out will say something different. It's like the overview of the high/low temps doesn't get updated or something. And I'm talking about a 5-8 degree difference. Plus, the temps in general seem to be very different than what other apps are showing
