Best language app I've used, and I've used A LOT of them. It covers all aspects: reading, writing/typing, pronunciation, and dialogue! Honestly the best alternative if you're not able to learn in person. They have a good selection of languages and are continously adding new languages to the list. Only suggestion would be to cover visual languages i.e. Sign Language as well, it would be great if I could continue my ASL on this app as well.

Off to a good start. Seriously considering buying the reduced price year-long 34 language deal. The free program so far is actually great as it is; I just want to reward a really good group of teaching apps. While I can afford it mind you. $48 a year I can afford; anything >$100/y, let alone ~$470/y, I can't afford no matter how much I like it.

I don't like that we I plug my earbuds or pair my bluetooth headsets, the app audio doesn't work. How do you learn a new language if you can't hear the foreign words? also the number of points you get for completing a lesson is too low. Your opponents have a lot, to keep up with them there is no way I'm gonna be on the app all day and night!

It is ok for learning terminology, like the first words in a foreign language. It has repetitive content in the daily lessons published. In 60 lessons I ran out of any new learnings. Now I am struggling with unistalling the app, since there is no option on the app to stop the subscription. I have wrote several email to Mondly, they don't reply or offer any support. For the last months been charged and I haven't find a way to cancel the payment. Suggestions?

This is a great app. I previously used the Spanish course, now I am on the German one as a beginner. I like the size of the lessons (about 10-15 minutes work), I like the fact I can skip to topics that are useful to me, and I find the app keeps me motivated. One criticism: When it asks you to translate a German sentence into English it seems to have one precise wording in mind, and if you put a different but perfectly correct English translation it is marked as wrong.

Some essential features are missing. First of all, German grammar is neither explained nor taught. The nouns are taught without articles, which makes it difficult to memorise the gender of them. Also, the application does not adapt the lessons to your individual results. For example, if you attend another German course in parallel, your progress will be better than the score you earned in the application, and the difficulty level of the daily lessons gets inappropriate.
