The app name describes it perfectly. It simply uses GPS to find altitude and it doesn't require Wi-Fi or mobile signal to function. The app also gives latitude and longitude very precisely which is what GPS was designed for. Determining precise altitude from GPS is not quite as quick. However position yourself for as much unobstructed sky as you can and accuracy progressively improves. TEST: First altitude was 26 ft above actual. After 3 min altitude was exactly correct.

Sorry used app in locations where I knew the elevation was approx 100' lower than this app ever consistently reported and today when I noticed that if I don't bring up my previous apps screen and close it between uses it will boldly go from 867' to 1171' and not calibrate back down To being 100' too high Location based or not It's too far off and I realize that no matter what I can't rely on its accuracy or even calibrate it to add or subtract x amount of feet from its reading Rarely even clos

Does exactly what it says and as far as I can tell it's accurate to within a few metres vertically. Thank you to the Devs, this just works, no fuss, clear display, simple to use. :-)

Variation of the altitude on one spot is just too much making the app of little use. From my balcony, I got readings ranging from 731m to 760m, a variance of 29m from the same balcony!

??? Who has the most accurate elevation??? Ive tried 3 different apps and they all disagree on the altitude. From 20 meters to +100meters difference.

Works well enough, or should I say it's the best I've found. It's only a few metres away from the correct height most of the time and its easy to use.
